Verónica Ortega's La Llorona 2022 is the third vintage of this particular wine. It was created using 100% small-grain Godello grapes that were harvested from a 35-year-old vineyard in the village of Pieros. The vines are planted on sandy soils. With its 500m altitude and sandy soils, the grapes from this vineyard have produced a white wine with a unique character and crystalline minerality. The Godello grapes were destemmed, lightly macerated overnight and then gently racked. Spontaneous fermentation occurred followed by an ageing period of 9 months in 600, 500 and 225-litre barrels. Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:Aromas: This is a vibrant, precise and complex Godello that combines subtle toasted notes, camomile flower, peach skin, hints of fennel and citrus notes.Palate: In the mouth, we find crisp and juicy fruit and a very tasty, fresh and balanced mouth where its finesse and liveliness stand out.
