Terra Dominicata is a bodega in Scala Dei, in the heart of the Priorat region. The vineyards are located in the old estate of the monks of the Carthusian monastery of Scala Dei, in the Natural Park of Montsant. This area has an exceptional terroir that gives the wines a fresh and elegant character, which is very particular among the wines of Priorat. Domus Aquilae is an elegant red wine made from Garnacha grapes. It is produced at the Terra Dominicata winery in Escaladei. It has been aged for 12 months in oak foudre and 225-litre French oak barrels. 50% of the barrels were new and 50% were one year old. The wine then spent a further 24 months ageing in bottle. Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:Appearance: This red wine has a delicate raspberry colour.Aromas: On the nose, you will pick up notes of cherry and strawberry jam.Palate: Its entry in the mouth is ample and fresh with a very light, ripe tannin structure. The tannin evolves very well in the mouth, opening with freshness and fullness.
