Kayak courses Initiation level are intended to anyone who has never practiced sea/cruise kayaking or who doesn’t know the necessary techniques to carry out the activity safely.
The Introcution level consists of three different courses (Introcution I, Introcution II and Introcution III) in three different days (5 hours each day).
Upon completion of the Introcution III course, participants will have the knowledge to practice sea kayaking safely and independently.
INTRODUCTION I
Designed for those interested in learning rowing with the proper technique and perform safely excursions. A session designed to introduce participants in this sport, and introduce them to basic security issues.We will start the session working on the dry rowing technique, to implement then all contents worked in dry with a canoe, and making a short kayak excursion.
Objectives
Know each of the components of the kayak
Know the main security measures during a tour
Apply the dry rowing technique
Apply the dry rowing technique in the water while sailing
Improve of air and water phase
60 minutes route, applying the necessary corrections
INTRODUCTION II
Designed for participants who have completed the Initiation I course or who assume they have the knowledge presented in the objectives of the initiation I course .We will start the session working on the dry rowing technique, to implement then all contents worked in dry with a canoe, and making a short kayak excursion.
Objectives
Review of the contents of the previous session (Introduction I)
Applying the technique of lateral displacements simple
Applying the technique of lateral displacements in eight
90 minutes route, with corrections of technical and practical exercises given during the session
INTRODUCTION III
Designed for participants who have completed the Initiation II course or who assume they have the knowledge presented in the objectives of the Initiation II course .We will start the session working on the dry rowing technique, to implement then all contents worked in dry with a canoe, and making a short kayak excursion. Review of all previous issues.
Objectives
Review of the contents of the previous session (Introduction II)
Perform the technique of emptying the kayak with the help of another kayak, and join the kayak (T rescue)
Apply Eskimo rescue technique
Cruise with corrections of technical and practical exercises given during the session
