Selvàtic by Dunord Viticola is a new red wine with a unique story. The grapevines are planted in a unique location next to a coal mine. This is where the name of the wine comes from, as it is believed there was once a lush forest in this region and plant remains have accumulated here over thousands of years. Due to the rich organic content of the soil, the vines can survive without water and are therefore completely sustainable. This red wine is a blend of Syrah and Monastrell, with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has been aged in 100% 225-litre French oak barrels of 1st and 2nd-year use. Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:Appearance: Selvàtic is a gorgeous purple-red colour with blue reflections.Aromas: It is complex on the nose, with aromas of fresh black fruit, earth and forest.Palate: To taste, this wine is firm, well-structured, elegant, rounded and with lots of fresh fruit flavours on the palate. It leaves an aftertaste of lactic and wood notes.
